People love to be social. They love new technology as well. As soon as the internet came around, people where social. They talked and joined on subjects of there choices. Now in the 21st Century, MySpace and Bebo are the mainly used systems. But should there be rules that people abide by at these places accesable?
Im not a user of MySpace, so I cant compare it to Bebo. It seams thay MySpace is used by Americans more and Bebo is used by Brits more. Everyone at my school has a Bebo profile, but only 10% have a MySpace. From what I have seen of it, its a ad farm with people!
People want to be famous. They love the idea. They also love the idea of being cool. Cool is just an illusion. There is Cool as in “The new Apple Mac is so cool!”. But people are not cool. Many people upload photos of themselfs to the internet. If its on Flickr, cool! Thats there own personal photo space. If its on Bebo for there friends, cool! If its for Bebo for everyone, thats cool! NOT COOL! We don’t care if you have a photo of yourself in a standerd pose. Atleast add photos that 90% of people will find cool!
Whats with the xxxXxxx thing? Why is there so many X’s? It means sexy. But what the hell? We know that 1 out of 10 people may be fit (not cool!) on Bebo, but we don’t care. You could be the most attractive people ever, but the xxx, people won’t take you for real. So please, for everyone on the internet, dont be a fake, be yourself!
We all know that the online social bookmarking tool, Digg, is a great resource for finding links and infomation for the geek. With the new 3.0 they are aiming at a new audince, the non-geek. But can digg dig it?
