#1 Nerd

The Internet has been around for 30 years, in many different forms. You would have thought that by now people would have learnt to web design. Alsa no, here comes Stevoland! With reason why Britain is becoming a country of posers and why he is a legend? I’ll leave the decision up to you.

And down went the data

The great thing about this website is the way that its hosted. Its hosted on a ZX Spectrum. All the data and design of the site is stored on 3 audio tapes. Its a bit of pain when I want to update, all this BASIC code to rewrite. I’m used to it though.

Sometimes, when my dog trips over the cable, the site goes down. Thats what happened this morning. Having to wait a couple of hours so that all the 3 tapes could load the site back into “Specky Becky” (My Spectrums nick-name). The power-cord is in the back and we are reconnected.

Radio Ga Ga

A mate of mine is doing a onlinne radio station. Me and him both did our own about 3 years ago. He has contiuned to do it and I gave up in 2005 and tried podcasting instead. So, if your board and theres nothing good on the telly, try Igloo Online (click here to get it in iTunes)

The future of space travel?

Top Gear, the fantastic driving based TV series is a joy to watch on TV. The first thing about it that is great is that you don’t need to know anything about cars to watch. Last week they travelled across America getting attacked by a gang of red-necks. This week, they went a little further, into Space.

NASA’s been doing this sort of stuff since the 60’s, but lets forget all that. The idea was simple, to go into space with a Relent Robin. That old, crappy, 3 wheeled car that all you need to drive is a motorbike license. Its not designed for outer space orbits.

The results of the test. When attached to the rocket and configured, it flew. It flew well, just like a Robin. The problem is that it did not disconnect from the rocket. This would mean when it came back to earth, it exploded! Not the ideal way to land a craft.

Perhaps this could be a fun little project in the future, or a cheap way to travel to travel to the moon.

When there is nothing left on the net

There will always be pictures apon pictures of cats in many different locations.
