I’ve been at Symonds for about 3 weeks now. Symonds is great, but some of the courses I’ve taken where not so. BTEC ICT (Three A Levels) Media and Business. I made the decision to change my BTEC for something else.
Now there?s nothing wrong with the BTEC, its just I would like an IT lesson where Visual Basic is not the “end-programming language”. Its not even VB.NET! The best Visual Basic that 1998 can provide. So I made a swap. My BTEC for Computing and Communication Studies.
Computing looks great. We start off learning Delphi (well its better than VB) and then end up with C and Assemblerly. Then Communication Studies seems like a good add on. Its all about how you can read peoples movements and body language to see “how they feel”. Its got a lot of essays in it, but hey, I?ll become immune
It?s taken me weeks of going back and forth, but finally, I’ve swapped. Luckily, this doesn’t effect my Yoga Class.
And so far, its been pretty good! I admit, there are a few problems, but its much better at college than at school.
First up, they treat you like adults. If you’ve got a problem, you can talk to them about it. No more “get over it”, more “lets sort it”. Kings was a place that made you feel like you where alone. No one really cared if you where happy, as long as they got paid.
Second, the college reconise your a human being. At secondry, you human rights are shat on. Where to begin? Hmm. Right to a fair trial, nope, not at Kings! Been bullied? Unless you do something to stop it, the teachers don’t give a toss. What about food and health care? Bahh. Screw that.
Last, but not least, its filtered. People who want a college education go there. The chavs who where forced to go to school, they can go off and work at “Maccy Dees”. I wish them well, someone needs to serve me.
To fully understand what I’m trying to say here, take a look at these two videos. The first is a typical day at Kings, the second is at Symonds.
Goodbye Kings. Symonds is like the second coming of primary school. I give you’s two thumbs up!

Its been pissing it down at college…
I went and got my haircut on Thursday, and about bloody time too. It was a mullet. I could have got a job as an extra on Life On Mars. Thats not the point, the point is, my mullet is dead. Long live the short hair.
A few days later, I’m getting used to it. Theres one thing I discoved though. Short hair rocks! In the shower it takes much less time to wash, Its easiler to style, and the girls love it.
So I make a plee to those with long hair *COUGH* Shedtroll *COUGH*, get it cut. The goodies are great when the hair is limited.
