Carrots! A 1kg bag of carrots for 62p from Sainsburrys is not only a healthy foodstuff, its also a strong political bargaining tool. By giving people carrots, they put in a vote for me. Thus, more votes due to good gifts. If elected, Carrot Day shall be created. A free carrot for every student. There, thats a policy you can set your watch to.
Somebody, somehow, fixed the shower this morning. At last, flowing water! No more washing whilst sitting in a puddle of water, which contains dirt and grime.
Gnarls Barkley’s latest album, The Odd Couple, was released today. I loved the first album, so got it straight away. This album is good, but its not great. Although still soulful, there sorta, well, mentally unstable. Most of the songs are about some sort of feeling or problem within the breadbox. Not really an instant classic, and a different direction. Not one that I’m a big fan off though.

Our showers broke, leaving the only way of full body cleansing to be a bath. Thats ok for body washing, but hair is a real bitch. We have to use a cup! Bah! Next time you have a shower, appreciate it before it breaks.
In other news, I went shopping at Basingstoke today. Its a much nicer shopping experience than Southampton, but less shops. Its great, it has all the good clothes shops and less Chavs. The TopMan half-price sale was on, so I got two zippy tops (green and brown) and a Charlie Brown T-Shirt (below).
Whilst wating for my train, I took a quick ramble round Oram’s Arbour and got a few quick snaps on my camera phone. So take a look if you’ve got a minute. It struck me however when walking round there that I should have gone to a different secondary school. Kings was a bit militarily-ish. “You shall follow our ideal goal. Anyone who does not shall be destroyed”. King’s moto, Una Laborantas (Working Together), pretty much summed up there view. Westgate seems to be more open and Symonds like. Nicer people with realistic views.
Well, I’m out of there now, and meeting better people. It looks like its all up from here.
