Little Bit Geeky

After spending this morning down the carboot sale I went down to the local dump. More and more things turn up there of a nerdy nature, which is great for me being a technological womble. I found a Apple IIc, with two disk drives. It still works as well, which makes it pretty tough surviving 20 years of work! I’m going to mess around with it and see what I can do!

My main piece of photography software I use is F-Spot. It organizes and keeps my files in tact. It has basic support to upload to Flickr, but not as good as Postr (Flickr Uploader). So, I’ve written my own plugin for F-Spot which sends files to Postr! Less work, and does the job better than F-Spot! The source code is in a zip attached to this post. Download it via here!

An Apple II and a C# Plugin. Oh the fun I’ve had!

Shes From Winchester

This women was on Britian’s Got Talent. She may not be big around the world, but she’ll be a local hero down here. Can I just point out, we all don’t talk like this down here…

Flickr Video…

Its good. It’s nice to be able to upload videos next to my photos. Flickr displays them nicely as well. The interface is easy to use, and its pretty feature complete.

You can back up, and archive, those little clips from your life which make memorys. Sorta like an off shore digital safe. Yeah, thats good! :)

The only bad thing is you can only upload upto 90 second per clip. WTF? That’s shit! There’s loads of great video’s of mine I want to archive and keep. But no, not on Flickr, apparently. I guess thats what Vimeos for. :(

Something About Life…

It changes. You change. Everything seems to change.

For example, this time last year, I was stuck, had loose, floppy friendships, and was nought but tech obsesed. Reading back though some of the pasts posts, I’ve grown up and changed.

I guess I’ve always been envious of others who have branched out at an earlier age. People who did things earlier, and things which I have never done yet. My own hated of them, and myself, made me vent myself on them. Projection I think is the term. The people I went to school with, where wankers.

The ones I’ve met at college however, are completely different people. But now I’ve met a great set of people. Real people, who arn’t affraid to be themselfs. People who arn’t living behind a mask. Perhaps I’ve started to find happynies?

Jelly Legs

Spending most of your day on a computer is a silly thing to do. I should have learnt not to by now, but its just too easy. So here I am, sitting at my computer, searching for blog content.

After college, which we’ve now broken off of due to exams, we went down to the cat grounds. Patrick, James and Matt went off and brought back a feast of doughnuts, coke and iced gems. We then sat on the graves, and watched Chav’s and French tourists go by.

I’ve copied Matt’s idea of buying jelly cubes and eating them. You know the cubes you break up and add hot water to. Sainsburry’s produce jelly cubes for their “basic” range at 8p per 125 grams. Thats pretty cheap, when the brand name stuff is 41p per 125 grams. So for 64p, you can get a kilogram of jelly cubes! :P

It tastes good, and is realy cheap. Good student food. However, if they can sell it for 8p per pack, how cheap could it be to make, package, and ship this product? Mass production maybe, but that method of production has its limits. So how do they make it so cheap?

It doesn’t matter how they make it. Its just tasty!
