As a friend has noticed, my blog posts have constantly decreased over the period of the last three months. And the reason? I’m getting out more. Simple, and effective.
Try it. Fresh air is nice.
In other news, my brother has reached the 14 / 15 year old “sit at home like a loner” stage. His recent desire to watch repeats of Star Trek scares me. Hopefully he’ll change his ways soon, or my TV-B-Gone may have to appearer.
Was sitting in Weeke park with others around 7 this everning, watching the sun set and playing with one of their dogs. Weeke park has its own playpark for the kids, and some of those little rascals were using it to the full extent. By setting a bin on fire!
Spent the rest of the everning with my mates watching the firemen put it out and giving a statement to the police. Walked home and had a Bounty. Ace.
After Thursday’s test of strength / speed, we decided to re take the chin up challegene, with two new competitors, Patrick and Alex. “My upper body is muscle” said Patrick before, but managing only to achieve 2 chin ups. Alex did better, hitting 6. Not to brag, too much, managed to achieved 14. Yay, getting better day by day.
Once the swingset was out of use, Alex found anouther use for it…
Then followed a game of no rules rugby. No rules, except leave the eyes, balls and cock alone. Unfortunetly, this left me with a twisted ankle, somehow.
Hey though, its the half term now. Which means 2 weeks of revising relaxing, which will give me plenty of time to let my ankle heal.
What do you do with 5 guys and an old swing set with no swing? A Chin up contest! Who can do the more, and guess who won? Yep, me. With a grand total of 10! Seconded by David’s 5 and James’s measly 2. 2? Come on James, you can do better than that.
Not content with being beaten, somebody came up with the idea of running round the Colleges field on the race track. 500 meters a lap, making every 2 laps a kilometer. The winner, Ben, closely followed by David. I was 3rd, with Jack and James retrospectively. Ben and David both achieved 15 laps without stopping, I followed with 7, Jack’s 5 and James, again measly 2 (and a bit).
Just another manly Thursday. See, you don’t need drugs for a good time! Oh, and James, get in shape mate.
