Stick To The Quo

I’ve discovered a new love. The music of Status Quo. Their like a poor British mans version of Guns N Roses, except with catchier songs. Think of your dad doing karioke on a drunk Xmas afternoon, except their good. Take a look…

Sounds Of Brilliance

For anyone who has never heard of Lemon Jelly before, they are an electronica duo from England. I got myself a copy of “Lost Horizons“, their second album, off ebay last week and think its one of the best things in the god-damm world.

For those who haven’t heard them before, here is one of their best tracks, “Nice Weather For Ducks”. Enjoy!

Don’t stop the Hip and Hop.

All this “50 Cent Vs Kanye West” shit got me thinking. Who is the real King of Hip-Hop? Well, I have an answer for you. You may not have heard of this guy, or quote any of his songs. But, the real king of Hip-Hop is Vanilla Ice.

"Alright stop, collabarate and listen.
Ice is back with a brand new invention.
Something grabs a hold of me tightly,
Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly."

Now that is real fucking rap. Take a look at the whole video to really get into the flow of this hip-hop genus.

Something to suck on sir?

Eurovision. Its like a musical version of World War 2. All the big (and small) countries of Europe are fighting to win. The basis of the contest is simple. Each European country enters singer of group. The winner is the one who gets the highest amount of points. Each country chooses which countries they distribute there points too (1 to 12). The winning country hosts the contest the next year. The entire event is broadcast live of each countries TV. It the one event each year where everyone in Europe is united.

By far, the best entry in the event was the Ukraine’s. Fantastic, catchy and intriguing. Its the sort of song that you would hear if you’ve have one to many Magic Mushrooms.

Scooch though, the UK’s entry, was one of the worst things I’ve seen. The public agreed with Scooch coming 2nd to last. Oh dear oh dear. Well, it beats our entry last year. That “cool cat” Daz Sampson.

There is always next year…
