Everyone has the right to eat what they want. It’s their bodies after all. However, it turns out that there are pressure groups for the promotion and forced choice of vegetarianism. Constant promotion and ego boosting articles on how they’re better than meat eating “scum”.
We have K9 teeth for a reason. There designed to rip apart meat and break it into manageable juicy chunks. If we weren’t mean to eat it, then surely our bodies would not have evolved to eat meat. Meat provides us with the energy we need. Its also part of a nutritious diet. It helps us build up our bodies, as it contains most of the needed things to produce our bodies’ building blocks. Alternatives to this include taking a variety of vitamin pills and supplements. Yes, pumping chemicals into your body is far better than eating the real thing.
The main reason people become veggies, which I have heard, is that they disagree with the way the animal is killed, “cruelly” in a slaughterhouse. However, if this is their only reason for not eating meat, then what about animals they kill themselves? Apparently not. For example, a friend of mine is quite happy to go out shooting pheasants, but wouldn’t eat them due to them being “slaughtered”. Their quite happy to kill them, but eat them? No, I guess that’s a step too far.
I’m all for animal rights, it’s just that the idea we do not need to eat meat is one which is stupid at best. Lions, Tigers, even Pigs eat meat. Sure there are some animals which are able to live off a healthy lifestyle of grass and shrubbery, but their designed to do that. We as humans are naturally omnivores. The idea of only eating one type of food is self-inflicted humanistic rubbish which is designed to make us feel personally better about ourselves. Well done, you’ve beaten yourself. I hope that makes you a happier, healthier person.
Each to their own, but remember, meat is murder. Socially acceptable, tasty, good for you murder.
